Eyes at Calle Diez

EYES AT CALLE DIEZ

The last annual Calle Diez Event was held on June 27, 2004 - the final event to be held at the ReinCarnation building as residents prepared to evict the premises in preparation for the wrecking ball.

As a symbolic gesture and "last hurrah," Mario Torero painted a version of the Eyes of Picasso one last time on a previously "graffiti'd" series of panels during the 9 hour event that included several great bands and a final art show.

Some of the graffiti remains, such as Si Se Puede - Cesar Chavez's well known chant, translated means "we can do it!"
